Production Technician

Job DescriptionKelly is now hiring for a Production Technician. Position is responsible for operating the SMT equipment in addition to programming, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repair of both SMT and thru- hole equipment for an electronic controls manufacturing company. Candidate will completed final inspection, calibration, and packing of some electronic products, and work closely with the Production Team in a back-up role. Candidate will also assist in the Engineering department with R&D research and testing, implementing & upgrading of current system, and special projects as assigned.Candidate must be able to: Read work orders, schematics, data sheet, MSDS documents, follow and sometimes create assembly instructions, receive as well as occasionally give verbal instructions. Operate and potentially troubleshoot and repair and production equipment.Demonstrate proficiency with soldering, the operations of meters, bench tools and various test equipment. Some use of shop tool equipment sch as drilling, sanding, grinding, sawing is required with this position. Comply with all safety regulations and requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Efficiently use Word and Excel and have a high level of computer skills in order to analyze data and create reports and implement new software programs.Requirements: Ideal candidate will have a 2 year degree in Electronics or equivalent with 3+ years of practical experience. Must be a reliable, motivated and detail oriented person. Must be a self-starter, with interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi- tasking, dynamic environment.
