WAREHOUSE LOADER

Job DescriptionPosition Description Summary:Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties. Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containersOperate a forklift, and floor sweeperUnload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destinationAbility to move containers, tote bins, and verify packing listsFollow all safety procedures in place Report all incidentsChock wheels on trucks, on every inbound and outbound loadDaily fork lift inspection sheets are required to be filled out Production logs are to be filled out properly dailyReceive daily instructions from the team leader or the operations manager Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing processReconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifestsSort and grade returnable packing materials- Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight- Operate forklift and other equipment need to perform this job.- Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock- Load and unload GP material per customer specifications- Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reportsEducation, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required for Position:- This is an intermediate level position- Good interpersonal skills required- High school diploma or equivalent required- Generally prefer 2-4 years of experienceMust be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skillsMust be able to pass a Background Check & Drug Test RequirementsEducation, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required for Position:This is an intermediate level positionGood interpersonal skills requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMust Have A Valid Driver's LicenseMust Be Forklift CertifiedGenerally Prefer 2-4 years of experienceMust be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skillsMust Be Able To Work A 12 Hour Rotating ShiftHighlightsContract To Permanent Opportunity for the right Candidate.
