Laser Operator - Plymouth, MN - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionKelly Services is hiring for Laser Operators/Assemblers in Plymouth, MN. We are seeking reliable, hard working, motivated individuals to work with a rapidly growing company! The lasers are custom built and you will be working independently at your work station. Computer and math skills are essential to your success in this role. Resumes are required for application.PAY STARTS AT $14.00 HRLYSCHEDULE: 2nd shift: 2:45pm -- 10:45pm, Monday through Friday3rd shift: 10:30pm -- 6:30am, Sunday through ThursdayRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:-HS Diploma or GED is required. -Must be able to read and write in English fluently.-Some days will need to sit for up to 8 hours per day, some days will need to stand for up to 8 hours per day-Able to look inspect parts through a microscope for up to 8 hours-Able to read and fill in documentation (record visual inspections, and mathematical terms.)-Able to read or learn to read a ruler, dial caliper and micrometer (Old school non-digital versions)-Able to calculate numbers to the 4th decimal place (.0001)(Mostly adding and subtracting)-Prior medical device experience is a plus but not necessary.**A LOT of paperwork that is very difficult on some machines. It involves a lot of basic math. TESTING:Basic math and problem solving skills test as well as an assembly test.WORKING CONDITIONS: -Moderate noise and traffic.-Differences in temperatures in different areas -Odors from chemicals and cleaning agents-Mandatory eye protectionPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job including but not limited to: - Lift up to 20lbs from floor to table.- Stand 20% or more of time.- Sit 80% or more of time.- Work 8 to 11 hour days.
