Job DescriptionMaterial Planner/Purchasing Specialist - Direct Hire!!!Candidates shall perform thedaily tasks required to ensure that all customers- needs and expectationsregarding order processing and on-time delivery are met. The person(s) occupying the position(s) shall also be responsible for theprocurement of all raw materials and supplies necessary to fill customer orderson time.The majority of time (greater than 75%) will be spent inside an officeenvironment with a lesser (less than 25%) amount of time spent inan environment associated with a manufacturing plant producingmachined metal parts.Verification of all customer orders for accuracy before confirmationback to a customer. This includes Customer requested orderchanges after the initial order has been confirmed. Approve In-Stock orders as well as orders to be scheduled will meetcustomer delivery requests.When stock does not meet supply, create replenishment orders forscheduling. Research, expedite, and follow-up on customer requests as required.Notify Shipping of urgent shipments and when they are expected.Follow up with Shipping to ensure customer requests are met.
