Job DescriptionEssential Functions:1. Repairs, maintains and installs industrial sewing machines and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.2. Fabricates or modifies machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.3. Supports maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.4. Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. 6. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.7. Plans, develops, and implements new methods of production designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.8. Reviews new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with Plat Manager and Division Manager.Secondary Functions:1. May confer with management and Quality Control Inspector to resolve maintenance problems and recommend changes to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.2. May confer with other supervisors to resolve maintenance and equipment problems.3. Assists the Factory Manager as assigned.Acquired Knowledge and Abilities:Must be able to read and understand equipment schematics and operational diagrams. Must be able to read and write job orders pertaining to maintenance. Must be able to use and understand basic tools such as a saw, welder, solder iron, etc. Must have basic background in electrical maintenance. Must be able to work under minimum supervision.RequirementsWorking Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm and possibly Saturday 7:30am - 12 noon as neededMinimum Qualifications:1. 2 Years- experience repairing sewing machines or completion of Factory Sewing Machine Training. 2. Must demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing job orders and instructions.3.
