Facilities Specialist - Porter - Full-time / Part-time

Our client in Eatontown, NJ is looking to bring on board three Maintenance Techs to assist with their Warehouse location. The position helps maintain and upkeep the buildings, grounds, and office equipment through routine procedures and work orders. The candidate will also assist in keeping the facilities’ supplies inventory. This is a year-contract and is back-filling a current spot. The shift is a first shift position. Pay rate is $14-16/hr.  Benefits while temporary include: Medical, Dental, Vision coverage through Kelly Services. Weekly compensation. A Dedicated Kelly Services Representative to assist you on any daily issues or needs. Job Description: Perform inspection on building structure and equipment through routine work orders. Responsible for making sure the trash and recycle bins are empty as per schedule. Responds to and completes work orders, insuring quality of service to maximum customer satisfaction. Performs work needed to have areas move-in ready for departments. Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including carpentry work, painting, and walkway snow removal and outside landscaping/cleanup maintenance. Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures. Maintains office, shops, storage and mechanical areas to inspection ready standards. Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward visitors, and co-workers. Responds promptly to emergencies. Comply with all company’s safety rules and guidelines ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED. Read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.) Examples of Duties: Required to know how to use hand power tools to perform duties safe and effective Work performance continuously meets or exceeds quality standards. Perform minor repairs including light bulb and ceiling tile replacement and office door repairs. Must demonstrate the ability to work with others and function as a collaborative team. Interacts with contractors performing building maintenance and repairs Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment PPE as per company guidelines Knowledgeable and stays current and complies with all Standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate in team meetings. Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.   Must Have Requirements include- High School Diploma or GED At least one year of general warehouse experience or previous related janitorial experience Reliable and able to work between 7am-6pm for your 8-hour shift.
