The Rework/Assembly Operators will perform a variety of basic assembly steps for prepping, testing and packaging assigned components for the manufacturing of electro-mechanical consumer devices. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:- Perform light assembly and light wiring (wire termination, connecting, tying harnesses); soldering experience a plus.- Maintain rigid housekeeping standards and follow applicable safety rules.- Have the ability to work as a productive, cooperative and professional member of a team of operators during shift.- Follow written and visual instructions to perform repetitive and sometimes tedious tasks such as labeling, scanning, and integration of components at a high level consistently.- Successfully complete builds within standard build time; use on line production tools for building and data collection.- Perform repetitive and sometimes tedious tasks such as labeling, scanning, and integration of components at a high level consistently.- Must comply with all defined requirements when assembling and handling of material per process documentation.- Learn and stay in compliance with ESD policies (Electrostatic Discharge).- Operate a material handling lift for anything over 40 lbs. or above chest level or below knee level.- Works under close supervision of Senior Assembler(s)Education and Experience: (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)- High School diploma or GED required (Associate's Degree preferred) with 6 months of rework/assembly experience required.- Wiring experience preferred; soldering experience a plus.- Willingness, flexibility and commitment required to succeed in a high demand, broad responsibility team environment.- Work a standard shift (much of the time standing) and routinely lift between 10 lbs and up to 50 lbs.- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; exceptional verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and confidentiality in communications with all levels of personnel, clients, and outside vendors.- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- MRP experience helpful.Work Environment:Standard lab/production environment.
