Engine Mechanic

Prototype Build / Engine Mechanic, Dearborn Heights (6+ month contract with long term opportunity)  Shift time available: M-F, 6:00am-2:30pm M-F, 3:00pm-11:30pm Mechanics will be responsible for and have the appropriate tools to assemble, disassemble, diagnosis, and repair production and prototype engines following the build book, illustrations, sketches, prints, and repair manuals. Mechanics will work with our Client’s personnel to contain the vehicle build book, determine vehicle content, and assemble to BOM as well as working with the build planner to support the vehicle assembly process. This also includes and is not limited to our Client Company’s required reports using corporate tools such as: labor tracking, invoice balancing, material costs, and various other types of reports from system accounts.   Essential Qualifications Required: Experience preparing, maintaining and testing engines and test equipment Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience 5+ years automotive industry experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience in engines / powertrain dynamometer testing or other similar testing techniques ASE Master Mechanic Certifications preferred Associates degree in automotive technology preferred   Benefits/Perks: Full-time, long term contract opportunity Competitive weekly pay Medical benefits available as well as holiday and vacation pay Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
