INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionMaintain and/or clean sewing machines continuously to avoid them getting rusty or badInspect equipment, structures, and production materials to identify the reason for errors in production and other defects that may ariseUnderstand and follow safety rules, directions, and company proceduresDistribute finished products to employer as arrangedOperate and tend a sewing machine, experienced seamster working with awning and boat fabric (heavier fabric than standard). Must have experience with commercial sewing machine. Be a mature person that will be a team player with creative skills, a passion for details, excellence in everything you do work wise. Must be able to read a tape measure, read work orders, do layout, mark fabric in preparation for cutting with a hot-knife or scissors, straight edge is used at times, good listener, honesty, communication skills a must with co-workers and customers, driver-s license, neat appearance, some sitting and standing required to perform the work, able to work with hands. We will train the right person with a desire to learn our production system.
