Job DescriptionExciting opportunity to join the team of a well known and respected local manufacturing company. 1st sift hours!Primary ObjectiveAs the Lead Inspector/Supervisor, your objective is to implement ISO 9001:2008, be ready to meet the ISO 9001:2013 standard and to lead the department in all QC tasks.Major Areas of Accountability- Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as quality effect to business situations, production capabilities to quality standards, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new quality assurance processes.- Coordinates the development of Quality Assurance goals, policies, and operating procedures for the Molding Division.- Coordinates the implementation of quality processes for existing procedures and goals for the Molding Division.- Develops initial and subsequent modifications for Molding quality assurance program regarding personnel requirements, and operating procedures within the program.- Provides Quality Assurance Training for the Molding Division.Page 2 of 4- Creates and implements Quality audits for the Molding Division.- Defines In-process Inspection procedures for the Molding Division.- Conducts meetings with other quality assurance program department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.- Puts a high emphasis on inter-departmental and intra-divisional communication and team work.- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.- Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality, and vendor quality standards.- Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.- Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in the Molding Division.- Perform inspections.- Review and rewrite all of the procedures, polices, work instructions for the new ISO standard.- Perform RMA-s, RTS- and Corrective Actions including inspecting or sorting.- ADDITIONALLY A SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:-Exhibiting fairness, is a positive role model and has good leadership skills.- Treating co-workers with dignity and respect.- Providing a venue for communications and problem solving through employee involvement.- All other duties as assigned.Requirements- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience- Ability to operate computer software (Microsoft Office, vendor software and in house DOS based system) and inspection equipment.Required Skills- Experience with ISO 9001:2008 required, 2015 preferred.- experience completing -First Articles, PPAP/SPAP part inspections and submissions.- Demonstrated organization skills and record keeping in a progressively responsible manner.- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.- Previous experience supervising preferred.
