Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:Respond to high-speed and phone service related calls. Assist current and future high-speed and phone customers by answering questions related to service, pricing and configurations. Assist current high-speed and phone customers with service-related problems including hardware and software configurations. Primary contact, residential.Specific Responsibilities:- Answer questions regarding service features, options and pricing.- Walk customers through common hardware and software configurations to maximize product functionality.- Troubleshoot basic network and modem functionality.- Answer questions regarding use of service with various hardware and software platforms.- Schedule on-site service calls when necessary.- Escalate appropriate technical issues to Internet Technical Support Associate group.- All other duties as required or assigned.Preferred Experience/Skills:- Entry level; 1-2 prior work experience in customer facing technical role preferred.- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Bachelors Degree Preferred- Cable industry experience preferred.- Experience with common internet software including Netscape Communicator, MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express preferred.- Must be a flexible, independent, self-motivated problem solver who can consistently work and enjoy a fast pace.- Must be able to work under strict guidelines.- Microsoft Office experience a plus.- Strong organizational skills.- Strong communication skills in a professional atmosphere.- Ability to work flexible hours including, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
