Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF OVERALL FUNCTION Under the supervision of Engineering/Process Quality Supervisor, performs a variety of technical tasks to ensure compliance of production products and processes to documented drawings, procedures, and specifications.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change/Action Requests-EAR, ECN etc.- Assist in the investigation and disposition of Non-conforming material. Notify Quality engineering Supervisor of developing supplier trends- Assists in gathering data, compiling information and assisting management in development of metrics and reports.- Perform In-line and Final Inspections on every unit that is being shipped from assigned lines, also cover for other Quality Technician(s) when they are unavailable- Assist cell lead in training by providing set standards and learning tools for assembling power quality products.- Interact with test department and communicate defects to cell lead on daily basis, assist cell lead with root cause analysis of defects.- Interact with engineering department to ensure that proper drawings are used in the build process- Assist cell lead in defect correction to prevent future defects.- Assists in failure analysis, development and implementation of methods and procedures to reduce recurrence of nonconforming material using Q pulse- Perform Audit in assigned manufacturing areas as needed and directed by supervisor.- Address and support implementation and completion of Corrective And Preventative Actions related to the Quality Management System.- Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects- Kaizen and among others- When necessary (as business demands) will help in other departments of the company as deemed fit.- May perform other related duties as assignedMust Be Dependable & Reliable With Good Attendance & Punctuality.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION - High school diploma.- AS degree/2 year technical/trade certificate or equivalent work experience- 1 - 3 years of practical work experience in an electrical/electronics related position/ field- Thorough understanding of electrical, general and high voltage safety procedures- Knowledge of basic statistics and control charts- Strong verbal and written English language skills- Strong computer skills (use of MS Excel, Word and ability to master new software quickly)- Ability to read and understand engineering documentation (blueprints, schematics, change orders, BOM-s)- Basic electronic theory (Ohms law, electron flow, passive and active component properties)- Ability to troubleshoot assemblies to the component level- Ability to set-up and use electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)- Strong assembly skills (soldering and proper use of common hand and simple power tools)DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION- 2+ years in quality/manufacturing environment- Understanding of 5S, Problem Solving and Standard Work- BS degreePERSONALITY AND BEHAVIOR TRAITS- Strong problem solving capability- Proven team player- Effective interpersonal skills- Good attention to detail- Highly organized- High degree of problem solving and troubleshootingHighlightsContract To Permanent Opportunity for the right candidate.
