Facilities Technician The Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the building and its vicinity and acting as the contact for emergency situations.  Under limited supervision, perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to: maintenance service and repair in the areas of electrical services, equipment servicing, carpentry, painting, plastering, landscaping and plumbing. This position will also coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.   Essential Job Duties Must be a self-starter - with minimal supervision must be able to: Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis. Participate in department meetings and support the organization in department and company realignments, relocations and moves. Provide day-to-day support to company’s compressed air, makeup air systems, cooling water, exhaust blowers, and chilled water system including all pumps, valves, fittings, instrumentation, and piping. Responsible for the proper functioning of the Coopermatics oil filtration system. Conduct all preventative maintenance tasks to the facilities systems. Ensure uptime and quality to manufacturing. Identify tasks and improvements to help increase equipment-operating efficiency. Conduct all repairs, upgrades, and changes to facility water systems to include sanitary systems, portable water systems, process (non-portable) water systems, and compressed gas systems to ensure they are or meet federal, state, and local building codes. Provide all maintenance to company’s environmental control equipment to ensure all equipment is operating within parameters of specified permits, and recommended by equipment manufacturer. Maintain the facility hazardous waste program, including waste water. Compile and maintain records for all facilities equipment and schedule testing on fire suppression systems. Responsible to respond to plant in an emergency of all environmental failures, fires, or security issues. Able to communicate with all levels of organization. I.e. operations personnel and supervisors, engineering and management staff, state and local inspectors, and outside contractors. All other duties as assigned.   Minimum Qualifications High School or Trade School Certificate. 5+ years in Process Plant and Industrial maintenance. Training certificate in Industrial Plant Maintenance preferred. Good knowledge of Electrical codes, building codes. Basic  knowledge of Plumbing & codes Strong troubleshooting and diagnosis skills. Project management and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors. Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required. Electrical Journeyman / Facilities experience ideal background Shift - Day Climate:  Moderately loud environment where you would be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time.   Why Kelly®?
