Maintenance Supervisor

Job DescriptionKelly Services is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor that will be responsible for directing the operations of the casting department.High school diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Die Cast Supervision, Blue Print reading, knowledge of precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage) with knowledge of SPC controls.Must be able to lift 40 lbs from floor to waist.Review of communications log for quality issues, oversees a clean and safe work environment for manufacturing employee.Directly responsible for the production levels of the equipment and achieves proper production rates and the efficiency to achieve quoted objectives.Responsible for the improvement of production processes and continuously looks for ways to improve.Ensures that equipment is properly maintained through communication with maintenance personnel.Ensures that tooling is properly maintained through communication with Tool Room personnel.Responsible for holding manufacturing employees accountable to specified tasks and the communication and training of manufacturing employees.Responsible for ordering of materials and supplies to maintain department.Responsible for the quality of products produced within manufacturing department.Responsible for working with quality & quality manager to assure customer satisfaction.Verifies product samples and standards are in place for operations (1st piece, boundary samples, tools necessary for operations).Ensures cross-training of all employees for department flexibility.Immediately notifies quality of any product non-conformance.Assists in running of equipment during breaks or during start-up.Assist in any other areas as requested by manufacturing manager.Oversees and fills out all pertinent forms per company procedures and or directed by Manufacturing Manager.Oversees that all manufacturing job duties are preformed with Safety and Quality as primary focus.
