Job DescriptionSUMMARYThe Prepper will be responsible for washing vehicles to remove dirt, oil , grease and debris from painted surfaces; locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting; apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as bumpers, windows, chrome trim, and other parts while surrounding areas are spray-painted. The Prepper will tape the car using, tape, paper and plastic bags so only to paint the parts required and smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper removing gloss from previous coats of paint. Additionally, the Prepper will sand rough spots of uneven parts EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:Required Education: HSD or GEDPreferred Education: Auto Technician Certification or previous related experienceRequired Years of Experience: 0-1 years Automotive Paint & Body or TechnicianPreferred Years of Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in Automotive Paint & BodyPreferred Field of Experience: Automotive; Paint & BodyRequired Training: 0-1 years previous experience performing Prepping processesInternal training required for hazard communication (GHS), respiratory protection and Hazard warning signs. Reading SDS.Preferred Training: 1-2 years previous experience performing vehicle prepping processes CERTIFICATION / LICENSE:Preferred Certification: Automotive Technician or Paint & Body Certification highly preferred
