Inventory Control Planner/Purchasing - Kokomo, Indiana - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionKokomo, Indiana - Contract-to-Hire position - $18 - $20/hr DOEKelly Services is looking for an Inventory Control Planner for a contract-to-hire position!This position involves the management of inventory and purchasing processes as well as data collection for project management, forecasting, P& L support and record keeping of chemicals in a manufacturing environment.** This position is for a vendor inside Chrysler - not for Chrysler.Responsibilities: - Compiles and maintains information and records such as supplier and pricing data - Monitor and forecast product usage - Performs inventory; calls in all chemical orders- Monitors the receipt of all chemical orders, - Attempts to solve problems with late deliveries - Handles routine project work - Review invoice discrepancies - Generate reports and other communications as necessary Requirements- Bachelor-s degree or equivalent education & experience in chemical management or related role. - Two or more years of purchasing/inventory experience in a manufacturing or other on-site service environment.- Must have good proficiency with Microsoft office suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint & SAP preferred, JD Edwards or other ERP systems a plus. Experience with Access databases a plus.- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and able to establish good relationships at customer sites in order to achieve results. Ability to build and sustain strong customer relationship.- Ability to don & wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required, and ability to traverse uneven, oily or slippery floor surfaces. - Ability to take direction and work independently, deal with pressure, and flexibility in dealing with unexpected situations in a unionized manufacturing environment.HighlightsInterested?
