Kelly Services is seeking experienced Material Handlers for our financial client in South Rochester, NY. These are full time, 1+ year temporary positions on 1st shift, Monday-Friday. Pay is $13.40/hr. to start and benefits are available in the first 30 days. RESPONSIBILITIES: Works in the stockroom doing material receiving, shipping, assembly jobs, kit picking, and all related computer transactions and paperwork associated with those jobs. • Perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. • Unpack, check and transport parts, materials, supplies, and products to and/or from receiving and shipping areas, stock areas, and other appropriate storage locations. • Conduct inventory for identification, quantity, condition, etc., of materials and keep routine records of transactions on the computer. • Pack and ship products to the desired locations in the best manner • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped • Prepare kitting packages for assembly production • Keep stock areas organized, clean and well maintained • Identify parts, follow safety regulations in storing and handling materials • Pull and log material for kitting; create computer-generated reports regarding WIP and inventory. • Performs other duties as requested or assigned by Manager or Team Lead. QUALIFCATIONS Minimum 2+ years’ experience with shipping/receiving and material handling • Computer skills required (Word, Excel) • Experience with Oracle desired • ERP background is a must • Good reading, writing and strong arithmetic skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to lift minimum of 50 unassisted • Must be able to climb a seven-step safety ladder • Must be able to move skids of materials with a pallet jack • Must be able to stand on a factory floor for extended periods of time.
