Educational Assistant / Substitute Paraprofessional - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionKelly Educational Staffing (KES) is looking for Educational Assistants and Paraprofessionals for all grade levels and subjects throughout the Twin Cities Southwest Metro area. KES currently handles all Substitute EA and Para needs for the SW Metro Intermediate District 288. This specialized district has locations in Shakopee, Jordan, Chaska, and St. Bonifacius and offers opportunities to work as a substitute paraprofessional in a more personalized environment.Duties will include:*Understand, address and be sensitive to the presented special needs of each student, recognizing differences in their abilities and cognitive levels.*Assist in maintaining classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students.*Ensure adequate supervision of students.*Address various learning styles of students according to their demonstrated needs.*Take direction from the licensed teacher and be flexible according to needs as they arise in the classroom.RequirementsQualifications, skills and experience required for these opportunities will include:*High School Diploma or GED*Experience working with children*Excellent listening and communication skills for expressing or exchanging ideas and supporting communication of lesson plans*Must possess good judgment and demonstrate ethical behavior*Frequent walking, standing, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs.*Other physical activities may be required*Available for same day assignments*Minimum of 2 days per week availabilityHighlightsBenefits:*Automatic deposit of weekly paycheck*Free training*Flexible schedule*Group medical benefits*Retirement savings plan*$12.50/hrWhy Kelly®?
