The Maintenance Scheduler/ Multi Craft Field Planner will be experienced in the maintenance process with skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope and scheduling maintenance activities for the assigned department. The job plan and schedule includes all information including; Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, and Services needed to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.. Primary Responsibilities: * Work safely and actively participate in the Department Safety Program. * Foster the Field Planning Activities to achieve maximum value for the assigned department. * Determine when it is value added to plan a job and when it is not. * Review work orders for technical completeness and return to Gatekeeper if incomplete. * Prepare job packet to include: Labor, tools, equip., materials, & services needed to complete job. * Use Quality Feedback from craftspeople to optimize/archive job plans. * When possible use "Archived" job plans and procedures for basis of actual plans. * Make field visits when needed to complete job plans. * Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan. * Identify/solicit Safety information & requirements to perform job tasks. * Record tasks & information within the work order. * Consider constructability & maintainability when developing job plans. * Coordinate with other site counterparts to create the most effective field plans. * Support the plants as necessary for unplanned maintenance events. * Formulate daily work schedule for assigned department. * Maintain Key Performance Indicators based on schedule attainment. * Reschedule work as necessary to ensure compliance with on-time metrics. * Interface with craft persons and area gate-keepers to communicate recent changes to schedule and provide expected completion dates. Required Qualifications: • Requires minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance or Petro/Chemical manufacturing facility. • Must be highly organized • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. • Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. • Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. • Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces. • Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground. • Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. • Must have a current, valid US driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: • Previous mechanical experience is preferred. • Must be highly organized • Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (or similar program) is preferred. • Prior experience with Primavera or equivalent scheduling software is preferred. • Candidate needs to be a self-starter and capable of working on your own. • Candidate should have a good understanding of craft skill sets and application of those craft skills when applying them to job tasks. • Candidate needs to be a logical thinker to perform the planning & scheduling aspects of this job. • Position requires a strong attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and solid computer skills. • Interactive skills are necessary in order to work with the many different people and resources needed to execute job plans. • Candidate needs to have experience in either Operations or Maintenance. Education: • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. • Associate’s degree/4+ years military experience in Instrumentation, Electrical, Millwright or Pipefitting Craft is preferred.
