Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The applicant will be responsible for supporting product development and qualification in a very dynamic engineering lab environment. He/she will be involved in and perform a variety of functions. These functions include but are not limited to:- Support and maintenance of critical Engineering Lab equipment- Execute maintenance activities in accordance with approved processes and procedures- Perform static and dynamic characterization, drift, endurance fatigue, and destructive testing- Accurately document test results and ensure proper identification and/or notifications- Report perceived or known deviations due to the functionality or operational capability of equipment- Assemble or repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial control devices- Provide support for servo-mechanical, electrodynamic, and electromechanical equipment.- Be proactive in the continuous improvement efforts.The applicant will have assignments, which may involve planning and conducting tests to complete projects scope, or may be involved in a portion of larger more diverse projects with other team members. He/she will work in conjunction with team members to fully understand the requirements of the testing in order to determine the most efficient means of executing the required testing and maintaining accurate records. The incumbent will be responsible for recommending improvements to the facility and current test methods in an effort to increase efficiency and improve quality. This may involve leading or participating in various teams focused on improvement efforts and design to cost initiatives.MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:- Mandatory Requirements:o Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent with 1-3 years of experienceo Experience with standard industrial and aerospace equipment and be able to demonstrate electronic and mechanical background and knowledgeo Should be capable of communicating his/her ideas, observations, and calibration results with both internal and external customers.o Be proficient with Windows and Mac based operating systems software and hardware.o Report perceived or known deviations due to the functionality or operational capability of equipmento Be competent to write reports, business correspondence and technical procedures and possess exceptional organizational, time management and documentation skillRequirementsNON-MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with:- Calibration and Metrology- Vocational Certificate or an Associate-s Degree in an engineering or related technical discipline. - Electrical systems (build, trouble shoot, repair, etc.)- Hydraulic system maintenance and repair.Servo-hydraulic and electro-dynamic test machines and/or equipment Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
