Account Manager – Technical Sales – Northeast Territory (Remote)   Kelly Services is currently seeking a Account Manager with extensive technical marketing/sales experience to manage the Northeast US Territory for one of our top clients. This is a Direct Hire role with a competitive base salary and bonus structure. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in direct chemical sales, distribution or a combination of the two, with a competitive attitude and the drive to succeed and advance.   As an account manager placed through Kelly Services, you will grow the business in the designated areas and the surrounding areas.  We are searching for self-motivated individual who can contribute to the big picture. This opportunity requires you to build relationships as well as having the tenacity to resolve customer issues.   Essential Functions -      Work with existing and prospective customer's R&D laboratories to obtain approval for use of Kronos pigments in specific formulae -      Troubleshoot existing formulation problems with the customer base and provide guidance on how best to use Kronos titanium dioxide (“TiO2”) products to overcome such problems -      Assist with the management of technical projects to include reformulation, pigment optimization studies, long-term weathering studies, optimization of TiO2 grade selection -      Negotiate long term supply agreements with selected customers -      Work with other departments (Technical Services, Operations, Customer Service) to develop solutions to customer problems -      Manage sales of Kronos products to smaller customers through authorized distributors in the assigned geographic territory -      Keep management informed by submitting regular activity and sales reports -      Development of sales opportunities resulting in company/customer win-win situations -      Effectively plan and execute sales calls to customers within the United States.  Must fulfill the sales obligations set forth by the overall business plans (Sales Budget). -      Proactively prospect for new business at both existing and potential customers, and follow-up on leads provided by others within the organization. -      Attain sales goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction rating.   Qualifications -      Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work with all levels of company and customer’s management team -      High level of interpersonal skills, especially persuasiveness, listening, assertiveness, responsiveness -      Excellent planning, organization, time management skills -      Strong written and verbal skills; able to produce quality work in a timely manner -       Advanced User of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes -      Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills -       Ability to travel extensively   Competencies -      Customer focus -      Decisions making -      Strategic thinking   Education and Experience -      Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field -      3-5 years experience in the titanium dioxide or related industry in manufacturing, technical, marketing or sales areas -      Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes -      Overnight travel, 40% -      Entertain customers and arrange outings with customers -      Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work with top level of company management -      High level of interpersonal skills, especially persuasiveness, listening, assertiveness, responsiveness -      Highly self-motivated .  Must have drive and the ability to analyze/resolve problems. -      Valid driver’s license   Why Kelly®?
