This position could be temp-hire or direct hire, based on candidate qualifications.  Currently there are two openings. One day shift and one swing shift   Primary Function: Provide machining expertise in support of the Engineering Department and client requests. Set up and operate machinery for the fabrication of parts. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities: Configure tools and ensure efficient production. Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates. Set up and operate CNC equipment. Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment.  Make mechanical and/or offset adjustments to ensure - parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements. Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work. Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within a .001 tolerance. Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality. Carry out other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Supervisor.   Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities) High School or GED Diploma required; Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines and manual machine. Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines. Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and select tooling and machining resources for manufacture of parts. Blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities. Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes. Strong math skills. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to work under own initiative. Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach. Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
