Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Start Date: Monday, June 12, 2017
Type: Temporary to Hire
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Training Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM
Hours after Training: Flexible Schedule after Training: 8 hour shift between 7:00AM-5:30PM
Training: 4-8 Weeks of Paid Training
Job Description Overview:
Under supervision, this position is responsible for verifying credentials of the providers
Enter updated information into system; research provider application information as it relates to assigned task
Ensure renewal updates are received within specified time frames of the credentialing process and are in compliance
Monitor reports to support the credentialing process for providers in opened process
Perform in-depth research for providers identified as having system discrepancies
Communicate with external agencies (boards, hospitals, provider offices, etc.) via telephone, to provide follow-up on requested verifications.
Job Specific Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
· 9 months credentialing, provider services production or customer service experience
· PC experience to include Windows, Word, Excel, and business databases
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Organizational skills and decision-making ability
· Ability to multi-task
