Job DescriptionQuality SpecialistJob Description:This position is responsible for consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated quality practices and systems, validating those processes and providing documentation. Also responsible for quality auditing, quality training and assuring products and processes meet required customer and internal quality standards and requirements. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for incoming, in-line and final quality control testing and processes.Required Skills:Responsibilities:- Oversee QC for the set top box (STB) operation,- Act as lead auditor with strong emphasis on ISO/TL 9000 registration requirements- Update current inspection and system procedures- Identify process and product deficiencies, research improvements and institute corrective actions- Perform Qualification tests on work benches- Maintain calibration and performance verification schedules and records.- Verify equipment is calibrated, logged and maintained.- Prepare quality control reports including data analysis- Set-up and participate in QAT-s and meetings- Manage the Quality information Systems (QIS)- Conduct customer on-site visits- Initiate and manage new projects- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:- Knowledge in understanding of Total Quality Systems or an ISO/TL 9000 registered system- Strong Root cause and trend analysis reporting skills- Knowledge of a distribution environment, trending data analysis and final inspection.- QMS experience in a distribution environment a plus- Proven experience in trending data analysis and final inspection- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others- Must be an organized and self-motivated individual- Have the ability to work both independently and as part of team.- Customer interaction experience a plusRequired Experience:- Bachelor-s degree is preferred.- Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory or QC specialist experience with knowledge of quality assurance practices.- Experience with Six Sigma/5S/LEAN concepts and logistics, distribution, or telecommunications experience is a plus.
