Job DescriptionMISSION: Coordinates the development of customer product requirements into technical data packages and provides technical support of internal software platforms.POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares technical data packages as follows: by interpreting customer requirements, creates production data packages, including cards, tickets, and tags, drafting of documentation, -artwork- and other supporting exhibits for customer RFP/RFQ/RFI proposals and quotations. Creates data files for transfer to production operations and provides verification of data packages sent to customers. Also, assists process engineering and manufacturing in the creation of essential production artwork.COMPETENCIES: Customer focused, detail-oriented, graphics manipulation, print-ready artwork file management, IT support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.1. Create Customer Product Technical Specification (CPTS) a. Provides the technical interface with customers in support of the sales representatives in understanding customer product needs, both before, during and after production, including: - Artwork, graphics, printing and cut/fold requirements. - Product technical requirements (e.g. chip and antenna designs) - Product data encoding/programming requirements. b. Creates and verifies the technical content of the CPTS, including design / graphics / artwork detail, product technical requirements, mate3rial, quantity, and production specifications. c. Validates and obtains customer approval of production proofs from manufacturing. Confirms -zero-defects- in data packages to ensure the customer receives product output as expected. d. Confirms (coordinating with sales, manufacturing and supply chain) the targeted production location for each order and ensures receiving site has properly interpreted all supplied documentation.2. Manufacturing Support a. Works with system integrator to create and validate customer ticket encoding requirements. - Compiles all needed customer data information and transfers to system integrator. - Assists in running trials and validating that data encoding meets customer needs, and refines/revises as needed. - Downloads resulting programming to printers and trains operators to run product as required. b. Works with the process engineering team in creating ticket and card samples as required for customers. c. Creates production artwork in support of existing and new products (i.e. screen and tooling specifications and drawings).3. Support for RFx Quotations and Proposals a. Participates in the drafting of commercial proposals RFX (RFQ/RFP/RFI) by creating and preparing technical and marketing elements, including supporting exhibits, drawings and artwork of the response in support of the business proposal. b. Provides product training for the sales team in understanding and properly interpreting all customer requirements.4. ASK-intTag production software support and maintenance a. Maintains existing production software platforms (i.e. passport initialization, ticket encoding, EDL test platforms, etc.) b. Updates and documents the platforms effectively for production support. c. Defines and implements new platforms for system upgrades for new customers, production requirements and/or other specifications.5. Supervisory Duties: none.6. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with printing or similar products. Experience in RFID and/or high velocity manufacturing environments a plus. - Associate-s degree or BA/BS (or equivalent). Concentrations in technical arts and software highly desired. - Language skills: Possess strong English language skills and be able to: o Read, analyze and interpret (with minor technical assistance if required) customer specifications and technical drawings. o Write, and/or assist in writing, quality reports and business correspondence. o Effectively, efficiently and professionally communicate with customers to ensure their needs are understood correctly. Discuss any issues/concerns that may occur during the sales or RFX process to ensure customer expectations are regularly exceeded. o Be able to interface with coworkers on issues or concerns, and be able to respond to questions posed from others in the organization. - Reasoning ability. Be able to help define problems, collect data and facts, form/make strong, logical conclusions. Be able to help anticipate problems before they impact the operation - and most importantly - the customers, and help to define / recommend / implement preventative solutions. - Computer skills: Windows and Microsoft is required. Graphics / Design software (Adobe Illustrator and/or AutoCad or equivalent) required.
