Job DescriptionDirect Hire - Warehouse Lead - 1st shift - hours vary - ex: 7am-4pm, 9:am - 6:00 Summary:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversee picking/order fulfillment duties.- Oversee the unloading of trucks, checking -n of merchandise, matching purchase orders to bill of lading/packing slip.- Assist with unloading freight shipments utilizing the forklift, pallet jack, or two-wheel dolly.- Assist with receiving, i.e. purchase order receipts, data entry on company computer system, scanning, labeling, and sorting.- Coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of Warehouse Associates.- Document and maintain working procedures for all tasks. - Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shipped.- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in pallets or in bins. - Perform product inspection for outgoing orders and perform a secondary quality check of other team members- orders for accuracy of outgoing orders.- Process orders through UPS online service or other approved carriers.- Monitor and confirm records on incoming shipments. Skills/Experience Required:- Able to successfully work in a changing environment - Ability to work in fast paced warehouse environment.- Strong managerial and conflict resolution skills. Able to effectively train, coach and mentor personnel; provide current, direct, complete, and "actionable" positive and corrective feedback to others. - Work involves using UPS computer system for tracking and package labels. - Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment - forklift, pallet jack, etc.- Basic computer skills. Strong knowledge of MS Office.- Able to operate UPS/FEDEX online software.- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Able to communicate effectively and clearly through verbal and written means. - Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.- Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures.- Organized and efficient.
