Machine Operator

Job DescriptionKelly Services is currently seeking Machine Operators for one of our top clients in Golden Valley, MN. Our client's fast-paced, team-oriented environment is the perfect place to take your career to the next level! 1st shift, Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pmEssential Job Duties:Perform manual labor along a production line or a specific piece of production machinery. Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery. May perform minor repairs as necessary.- Set up and operate conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts, fitting and assembling machined parts into complete units, apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and layout techniques- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements- Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining- Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, grinders- Calculate and set controls to regulate machine factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut- Other duties as assignedRequirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Requires mostly standing with some climbing, bending, twisting- Requires frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.- Requires frequent walking- Requires vision correctable to 20/20AEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED- Previous manufacturing experience- Machine operation experience in metal fabrication is a plus Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
