Job DescriptionKelly Services is hiring for an Inventory Specialist in the Rapid City Area. This position is responsible for inventory control, component ordering and check-in, and forming of parts associated with the production department of an electronic controls manufacturing company. Candidate will provide components to the production staff, assist with inspection sign- off, and ensure that correct QA processes are completed, documented, and filed. Occasionally help in the production department as needed. Candidate will complete purchase orders and submit to vendors, assist in the engineering department with end of month inventory, and special projects as assigned. Preferred background with TQM techniques, QC systems, and electronic assembly production. Experience with wave soldering, hand soldering,testing components and board assemblies, repair and rework of defective boards, programming micro-controller chips, conformal coating and potting of board assemblies is a plus. Candidate must be able to:Read work orders, data sheets, spec, sheets, MSDS documents, receive as well as occasionally give verbal instructions, and operate small equipment.Demonstrate proficiency with the operation of meters, bench tools and various test equipment. Some use of shop tool equipment such as drilling, sanding, grinding, sawing is required with this position. Comply with all safety regulations and requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Efficiently use Word and Excel and inventory software.Requirements:Ideal candidate will will be a reliable, motivated and detail oriented person. Must be a self-starter, with interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi tasking, dynamic environment. Position requires excellent dexterity and the ability to work extended periods of time sitting. Must be able to perform efficiently with close visual work. Job requires computer skills, verbal and written communication skills and math abilities. Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
