Quality Technician

Job DescriptionGeneral PurposeResponsible for ensuring products meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, performance, and customer requirements.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities The following list of tasks and responsibilities is not all inclusive and not limited to only the listed items:1. Aid with the maintenance of the QMS policies and procedures2. Interpret and implement QMS standards (AS9100 D / ISO 9001:2016)3. Evaluate adequacy of QMS standards 4. Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data5. Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems6. Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality7. Conduct and document internal audits and other QMS activities8. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues9. Collect and compile statistical quality data10. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the QMS11. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions12. Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities13. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers14. Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions15. Monitor risk management activities16. Responsible for document management systems17. Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirementsKey Competencies- attention to detail- communication skills - verbal and written- data collection, management and analysis- problem analysis and problem solving- planning and organizing- judgment- decision-making- customer service orientation- teamworkRequirements1. Education: High School diploma minimum2. Intermediate or greater skills in computer and software systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)3. Certifications is an advantage including but not limited to Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma, Lean4. Experienced auditor with AS / ISO QMS standards; AS / ISO auditor certifications is a plus5. Working knowledge of the tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality and Continuous Improvement6. Experience with in-process quality inspections, auditing, and testing 7. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs8.
