MATERIAL HANDLER - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionPerforms a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions will be operating a sit down forklift (Yale) and walk behind Pallet Jack. Position is in an ion exchange/carbon regeneration facility they will be moving small, medium and large tanks ranging anywhere from 35-300 lbs. They use dollies and will show how to maneuver heavy tanks in a safe manner, which could be empty or contain carbon granules. Picking Tank Orders and Loading Tanks onto trailers on the loading dockWill be clearing out carbon (using Air/Water) from used tanks and refilling outbound tanks with granulated carbon. You will be filling out batch records based off data found on top of the tank and entering into RainMan software (Spreadsheet-like system), so accuracy/attention to detail is key. Role will be primarily responsible for all carbon production but can also include other duties as necessary. This includes quality control testing of products prior to release and assisting in resolving routine manufacturing problems affecting daily operations. Position reports to the Plant Supervisor Very safe environment have not had a recordable injury/incident in 5 years. They're looking for a candidate who has good attendance and punctuality. Dependability, initiative and someone who comes in and owns the role will lead to a Full Time Position.You will be shadowing a tenured production employee, so they will be taught the process and industry thoroughly.You will be working with Granulated Carbon and water, so it is a wet and dirty environment, so you must be prepared for those conditions.They will conduct regular 1 on 1's every few weeks to ensure employee is learning and enjoying the role and to see if there's anything they can do to helpGreat company job security, stability, opportunity to move up and to move to other facilities throughout the country.RequirementsQualifications Experience in a water or chemical plant is desired but not requiredPlumbing and mechanical ability is a plus as well considering the nature of the plant processes.Basic computer knowledge is required, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Applicant must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds and be extremely safety conscious.Must have a High School Diploma or GEDMust be Forklift Certified and able to operate a sit down forklift and a walk behind pallet jack.
