Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe electrical and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for maintaining various types of electrical and process control devices. E&I Technicians are frequently called on to troubleshoot instrumentation problems and perform unscheduled equipment repairs.Additional duties include performing preventative maintenance tasks, ordering equipment parts and maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment service records.Scope /Specific responsibilities of the Position:- Performs troubleshooting of industrial E&I equipment, performs repairs, helps to determine root cause of failure, and works with engineering to develop reliability resolutions.- Works with maintenance and production to complete work both safely and efficiently.- Maintains accurate equipment repair/modification documentation, and updates equipment files.- Troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems, and acts as a resource regarding plant regulation standards.- Maintains a variety of electrical equipment and process control devices including interlocks, control circuit instrumentation, Siemens, Lenze and PLC control systems 23/480 VAC, 24 VDC systems, motor starters, power distribution systems, transmitters, valves (ball, control, butterfly, diaphragm) process switches, actuators, relays, distribution panels, motors, lighting and motor starters, general wiring, sensors, etc. and all other associated with the electrical and instrumentation craft.- Performs preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and follows mandated procedures/regulations related to instrumentation, calibration, process control, related systemsEducation / Experience- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams or Electrical and Engineering Flow diagrams, single line drawings and the ability to read and understand Operating Procedures.- Minimum 2 years of Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance experience- Experience in a manufacturing environment- Degree or certifications E&I related studies- Computer Skills (Microsoft office , ERP systems etc) Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
