P Production Packaging Technicians - Marietta, GA! The positions are long-term indefinite assignments working in chemical plant production environment.. Payrate - $18.00/hour 8 hours/day - (Monday - Friday) - Rotating day/evening shift (6:00 am- 2:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm)  (Rotating weekly – day shift one week, evening shift the next week) This is a hands-on role that requires repetitive tasks, troubleshooting and extreme care and safety. The primary purpose of this position is to package production batches safely, on time, and within specification. Filling customer orders through the block scheduling process is the primary goal of all technicians on the manufacturing floor.  Position would also require the technician to be able load tank trucks and rail cars as needed. Responsibilities: Safely and accurately package batches per production / block schedule and standard Operating Discipline. Execute assigned work using batch ticket and detailed procedures Assume ownership of assigned work. Follow batches through to completion. Check QC progress, packaging needs to keep batches moving. Overtime may be required to complete batches. Accountable to Production Coordinator for daily activity. Job Performance is monitored by the Production Coordinator, Production Engineer, (and others); but Managed by the Operations Leader. Perform job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the business and the team. This includes prompt arrival at start of shift, appropriate breaks, and adequate communication between shifts to ensure safe and accurate completion of batches. Cooperates with associated functions to support the business: QC Lab, Site Logistics, EH&S and R&D. Knows, understands, and contributes to Plant goals. Schedule Vacation and Time off per the site policy. Keep Production Coordinator informed of all attendance issues. Complete Safety and Compliance Checks as directed. Use proper PPE and perform Housekeeping as required. Attends/completes training as directed. All employees are expected to participate as team members in their area of work or an area of interest. Intervenes with unsafe behavior and coaches teammates to do the same. The company does Not Tolerate Unsafe Acts. Coaches teammates to correct behavior and if necessary reports unsafe acts immediately to EH&S Delivery and leadership. Communicate all issues to the Control Room Technician regarding spills, leaks, drips or other EH&S concerns that require IRL response. Participates in Root Cause Investigations and volunteers for corrective actions. Physical Requirements: Be physically able to use standard safety equipment which is rated for 300 pounds or less. Able to work outside in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold, rain, etc. Able to perform task wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face masks, goggles, boots, etc. Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds, climbing ladders and stairs, wearing safety gear, working in confined areas, and working in a chemical-manufacturing environment. No known sensitivities to chemicals. Education/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial role. Process driven with strong attention to detail. Ability to learn and apply new techniques and processes quickly. Demonstrates the ability to follow strict policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Must have a current, valid US driver's license. Mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, with ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Strong reading comprehension and listening skills. Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills. Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence. A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks.
