We are looking for experienced industrial mechanics that can do 2nd or 3rd shift and have experience working as a maintenance employee in a manufacturing facility. Beer/beverage, food, meat, grain, canning/bottling, automated assembly. Candidates need to be used to working on conveyors, or rotating and reciprocating equipment, chains, drives, bearings, pneumatics, cams.  SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Evaluate Equipment in operation and make necessary adjustment to improve efficiency. Observes equipment in operation and evaluates potential problems for future repairs. Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts. Adjust function parts of equipment and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in equipment. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts equipment to test their performance. Set up and operate drill press, bench grinder and other metalworking tools to repair or make spare parts. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Understand and follow Lockout/Tagout Procedures as outlined in Assembly maintenance Tech manual. Perform PMs, which will require overtime for all techs on a regular basis. Assist in training of other employees. Perform all other relevant tasks as assigned by Lead Techs Make suggestions for improvements. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disability to perform the essential functions.
