Job DescriptionKelly Services has an outstanding immediate temp to hire opportunity in the Tarboro, NC area with a premier employer. This is an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Associate. You must be able to work 8 hour shifts with the ability to work Monday through Friday on 1st shiftPosition SummaryThe Warehouse Technician is responsible for working team in warehouse environment operating equipment and also doing manual stacking as well.Equipment:- Forklift- Pallet JackResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Assists the activities of the warehouse staff to ensure a positive and efficient work experience.- Operate Fork Lift- Loads and unloads trucks prior to and at the completion of a given project.- Maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of the warehouse.- Handles the delivery and shipping of a multitude of goods.- Operates a pallet jack including building and maneuvering boxes on pallets.- Attends and participates in weekly operations meetings.- Uses an industrial scale to weigh and label volumes of scrap material.- Maintains the physical security protocols we have in place and ensures others follow said protocols.- Maintains the operating condition of all warehouse tools and machinery used to execute primary functions.Experience- One to two years related experience and/or training.Educational Background- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills Required- To perform the Warehouse Technician job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Math Ability:- The Warehouse Technician will have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability:- The Warehouse Technician will have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
