Purchasing Agent

Job DescriptionA growing company in Elkridge, MD is looking for a Purchasing Agent! The qualified candidate will need to have previous experience in purchasing or estimating, be computer savvy, and willing to negotiate pricing with vendors.Your primary duties will include:-Supports procurement department by coordinating information and documents needed by internal and external customers. -Support Managers with the creation and amendment of master purchasing agreements and purchase orders. -Maintain appropriate records, files, documentation as required by the procurement team. -Issue Purchase orders based on direction of Manager. -Assist with tracking of metrics. -Place orders through vendors via the web-Track all documentation in CRM software-Compose emails as neededHours will be Monday-Friday, 8-4:30pm starting as a temp but with the potential of hire in the future.
