KES Substitute teachers, assistants, custodians, food service workers

Job DescriptionSubstitute teachers work in the absence of a regular teacher to aid students in understanding a subject matter. This position is a great way to obtain a rewarding career while working a flexible schedule! The major job duties are listed below:-Assume the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules.-Implement existing lesson plans in a manner that ensures the integrity of academic time and motivates students to learn and participate.-Instruct students regarding a variety of classroom topics/courses of instruction, as determined by the School District-s lesson plan and in accordance with Kelly policy.-Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students in accordance to lesson plans.-Create a classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Address the various learning styles of students accordingly.-Long-term assignments may require a sub to develop lesson plans, administer and grade tests and assignments, participate in parent-teacher conferences and attend school functions. Provide general custodial duties including but not limited to: empty trash, sweep, mop, wipe down and clean bathrooms, and other duties as assigned. Provide excellent food in an efficient, courteous, cost-effective and professional manner - Partial duties and responsibilities include: Arrive on time for work and adhere to work hours (5 per day); follow direction as given by the School Nutrition Manager to cook, prepare, serve and store food; follow proper safety and sanitation procedures; Keep work area neat and clean; Able to meet the physical demands of the job including but not limited to lifting, mopping, carrying and storing; Take care of equipment properly and promptly report faulty equipment to the managerExperience/Education: Candidates must a high school diploma or GED.
