Equipment Technician Job Sumary: This is an exciting new technician position for a highly motivated and energetic person who wants to be part of a company that is fast growing and very successful business unit. You have a can do attitude and will be leading and contributing to the production and QA equipment maintenance and calibration as well as the sustaining technician activities for production and QA departments . Job Responsibilities Responsible for the completion of all maintenance and calibration service requests as assigned in timely manner Ensures operation of electrical and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer s instructions and engineering specifications Communicate with equipment manufacturer s customer service in order to determinate maintenance and calibration procedure Maintain equipment inventory control, update equipment status using company s database Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation using precision measuring and testing instruments, troubleshoot malfunctions and provide quick, effective repairs when possible Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance Prepares maintenance and calibration reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Participate in 5S Kaizen events Assembly of production equipment or fixating General facility updates, maintenance, repair and operations work Coordinate special projects as directed by the Manufacturing Manager Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Job Qualifications 0-2 years of relevant experience Hands-on and experience with basic hand tools and power tools Technical Understanding Basic Safety Attention to Detail Ability to use computer Familiar with MS Office tools such MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Team player, self-motivated and open minded Excellent presentation and communication skills Ability to lift up to 50lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
