Job DescriptionIMMEDIATE Opening for a Machine Operator with Polymer Chemical Experience.Temp to Hire Position with a GREAT Manufacturing Company!Summary: This person will work closely with the other operators on the production line including QC, and reports to shift supervisor and site Polymer Chemist. The individual will be expected to properly follow Standard Operating Procedures and should be able to maintain a safe working environment following all appropriate safety and environmental policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow SOPs for proper start-up, operation, and shutdown of all chemical area equipment.Must be able to properly run automated process by the use of a computer and other line operating equipment.Monitors and adjusts parameters, i.e. line speeds, flow rates, temperature, and pressures, within normal/established operating ranges. Continuously monitors the foaming process and troubleshoots for plant disturbances while making corrective actions to control process. Carry out all Quality Control checks and communicate effectively with other operators on the line.Assist Chemical Department personnel in projects, trials, and tests. Must be able to properly do data entry and record keeping.Must be able to set-up chemical recipes for all products. Must be able to change, disassemble, clean, and assemble mix-heads as required. In addition, maintain inventory control of mix-head parts.Must be able to change, disassemble, clean, and assemble laydown pour bars as required. In addition, maintain inventory control of pour bar parts.Must be able to properly monitor and control pre-adhesive application. Including but not limited to assembling glue pours, replacing used hoses, build glue spread pillows and monitor condition of glue pump. While maintaining adequate levels of glue; filling or swapping out glue totes as required. Maintain the chemical laydown area clean and safe, keeping area clear of debris and chemicals; including pumping stations. Dispose of chemicals correctly.Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and duties in accordance with company Preventative Maintenance Program. Assures proper loading and application of tapes films and other coatings.Assists with machine set-up for various panel thicknesses and configurations. Other duties may be assigned.Must be able to properly run automated process.Continuously monitor the foaming process.Carry out all Quality Control checks, data logging, and record keeping required for the position.
