Inventory Coordinator

Inventory Coordinator/Warehouse Technician needed for long-term contract position with one of our top clients in Freeport, Texas. You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. You must also be skilled in operating a forklift. Overall this position is routine in nature but will require some non-routine tasks in this fast paced business, so being flexible is a necessary attribute. Job Title: Inventory Coordinator/Warehouse Technician Location: Freeport, TX Hours: 7:30AM – 4:30PM Description of Work: Under the guidance of a Sr. Technologist the prime responsibility of the Inventory Coordinator/Warehouse Technician will be to help manage all warehouse activities: Assist Plastics TS&D personnel in the planning, ordering and movement of raw materials (primarily polymers, to enable their testing and evaluation on various plastics fabrication equipment.) Must be exceptionally qualified to drive a Fork Lift / Tow Motor. Will also be preparing samples for shipment to other labs within plant and to customers. Maintain and control an inventory of standard polymers and additives, and monitor all material location in the various warehouses - and usage patterns to ensure availability when needed. Complete all departmental safety trainings and tasks, and participate with regular safety and housekeeping routines, maintaining a clean and tidy customer ready work environment. Requirements: High School Diploma / GED 2+ years of Inventory Control/Expediting/Material Handler experience Must have recent forklift experience This job requires climbing stairs many times a day so candidate should be physically able to do so.  Must have the ability to lift and move 25kg bags of resin.
