Job DescriptionGENERAL FUNCTION The overall mission of the Store Market Manager is to be a leader and business owner within the marketplace and LensCrafters organization. The Store Market Manager establishes LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community, gains market share, drives both topline and profitability growth, delivers key performance metrics through the brand proposition ensuring flawless execution of superior customer and patient experience, establishing high standards of performance and operational excellence through exceptional high performing talent and adherence to all policies and procedures. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Drives quality and improvement to meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs) in the following areas: o Increased Comp Sales, % Sales to Plan o Conversion and Customer Count Plan and Comp Growth o Increased Traffic o Store Operating Profitability Plans o Exceed Continuity of Care, Exam Growth and Retention Goals o Net Promoter Score (NPS) Goals o Current year objectives- Creates compelling vision for the future; develops clear operating plans ensuring executional excellence and winning results - Ensures LensCrafters is known as the leading optical provider within your community/market- Operates as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local community/market- Demonstrates deep understanding of retail business and the capability to transfer knowledge to superior sales and business results. Fosters great technical ability regarding product knowledge (ie: lens, frames etc). Remains current on the competition and market trends- Exhibits strong business acumen centered on continual improvement and constant execution of Best Practices for growth. Diagnoses the business, reviews financials, analyzes trends and leverages synergies to execute to drive positive results among all 3 business units: Retail, Lab, Doctor- Proposes and executes business plans to maximize sales and profit, leverages strengths, identifies root cause of issues and addresses opportunities for recovery- Leads a team through strong knowledge and skills regarding customer relations and delivers unsurpassed Customer Experiences and financial metrics by inspiring associates to perform the Sales and Service Commitments at the highest level on a consistent basis- Manages profits and expenses for the store and ensures proper usage of company funds- Consistently establishes clear expectations, trains, coaches and develops team with required skill sets, capability and knowledge to perform the job with excellence and great accountability- Provides on-the-job training and guidance to team members leveraging Company provided programs- Recruits and selects high caliber, success oriented talent, top-grade team and creates talent pipeline for succession planning- Follows workforce management guidelines to optimally staff store, ensuring the right level of talent is scheduled appropriately based on the needs of the business- Shows great pride in the store appearance and executes visual directives to achieve a consistent company message and high standards Leads by example- Effectively leads Doctor of Optometry co-planning business meetings. Maximizes business partnerships through participation and involvement in the following: Coverage, Walk-in Availability, Next Eye Exam Calls, In-house Prescriptions, Doctor Detailing, Co-op Relationships. Strive for and maintain a positive working relationship with the ODs- Leverages insurance plans with local companies and attends local health fairs.- Adheres to and ensures compliance of team to Company policies and procedures regarding discounting, promotions, inventory management. Meets or exceeds all goals regarding Shrink (product), money (loss) and equipment (care and maintenance)- Performs administrative duties to include cash, payroll, inventory management, technical application and understanding- Ensures all Company approved safety programs are implemented and maintained consistently per standards creating a safe work environment for all associates, customers and patients- Works weekends and evenings in support of the business needs, taking responsibility for the optimal running of the store and ensuring goals are metRequirementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- High School graduate or equivalent- 4+ years management/supervisory experience- A proven track record of delivering results and positive growth- Excellent business and financial acumen including strategic and operational analysis- Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, processes and policies- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)- Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators- Must have a strong command of the English language for all written correspondence and oral communication- Successful completion of the store manager onboarding programPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- College degree or equivalent- Previous experience in leadership position within retail and customer service industry- Knowledge of basic optics- Knowledge of current store merchandise- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states- LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification- LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting ProgramHighlightsAs a Lenscrafters employee you will have:- Great benefits- Multiple brands to work with- Educational opportunities- Part of a worldwide leader Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
