MATERIAL HANDLER - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionWAREHOUSERESPONSIBILITIES:Select inventory or pack customer orders under supervision.Load or unload delivery vehicles and assemble stock onto pallets, warehouse trucks, racks, or shelves.Open cartons, bundles, and other containers and convey stock to designated area by hand, hand truck, or other equipment.Weigh, count, and record units of stock for customer order verification.May perform counter sales responsibilities as backup personnel.May perform wire cutting duties and inventory cycle counting as required.Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Education: Prefer High School Graduate or G.E.D.Experience: One- Three years warehousing/material handling experience preferred.Knowledge: Basic reading, math skills, and attention to detail are strongly preferred. Ability to walk and move freely and regularly lift up to 70 pounds of stock. Knowledge of warehousing procedures and security regulations. OSHA certified in safe operation of forklift, wire cutting and stretch-wrap equipment desirable. Department of Transportation (DOT) certification desirable.NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: 10:30am-7:30pm and some over time required.
