Job DescriptionTechnician 1 will assemble basic shock absorber assemblies, sub-assemblies and accessory kits. Works under general supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly of shocks.- Assemble shocks as directed according to approved drawings or other visual aids.- Assemble accessory kits and small parts for inventory.- Perform visual and mechanical inspection of parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies for defects, missing components and other quality issues. - Brings quality issues to the attention of lead and/or supervisor for further direction.- Adheres to safety requirements and cleanliness of the work areas.- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Experience - Proficient in the use and operation of hand tools and machine operation. - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production or assembly line- Demonstrated experience of LEAN, 5S, 6-Sigma, Kaizen or other continuous improvement tools- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and other written instructions. - Demonstrate analytical & problem solving skills - Basic computer skills to understand and navigate the company software programs such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft office applications.Education: High school diploma Certificate from technical or vocational school desired.
