Overview

We are seeking a part-time server to join our team. The schedule is Wednesday thru Sunday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Positions Details

Here are some of the prep cook responsibilities:
  • Works in compliance to policies, procedures, MSDS, safety sanitation, hair, cleanliness and uniform.
  • Ensures that standards of food quality, sanitation and preparation safety are maintained.
  • Checks in and signs for deliveries. Stocks and stores properly, remembering to rotate product, and informs supervisor of any shortages or out-of-stock items.
  • Checks for all stored foods to be labeled, dated and stored according to Health Regulations. Makes certain all labels are visible.
  • Meets with supervisor to review menus and clarify prep needed for week. Reviews recipes and procedures.
  • Plans and organizes day, remembering most prep needs two-day advance. Lists all needed prep by referring to highlighted items on Week at a Glance Menu. Submits list to supervisor when prep is completed.
  • Makes diet desserts for alternative menu.
  • Makes certain all condiments are prepared and ready for meals.
  • Checks with diet aides for the items they need prepped, such as Jello, etc.
  • Keeps work area, equipment and tools clean and sanitary. Completes daily clean-up list.
  • Makes suggestions for improvements in service, quality, efficiency and safety. Reports any accidents, incidents and items that need repair.
Position requirements:
  • Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age and have related experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English and able to understand written & spoken instructions/directions.
  • Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
  • Must work cooperatively with management and staff.
  • Must be patient, pleasant and understanding in relating to residents.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position – performing food preparation, cooking tasks and stocking.
