Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to provide care in group home settings to our individuals with emotional, behavioral or medical complexities and those with brain injury. As a caregiver, also known as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), with South Carolina MENTOR you’ll be one of those special people.
DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential.

South Carolina MENTOR is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to provide assistance to our individuals with emotional, behavioral or medical complexities and those with brain injury in a community-based setting. DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
The highest need schedules we are currently hiring for are the following:
  • Weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) - all shifts
  • Overnights (Primarily Monday through Friday, 9:00pm to 9:00am
