Direct Support Professional Primary Location: MA-MADedham-270 Bridge St Function: Direct Support Professional (Care Givers) Organization: Redwood Boston Area Caregivers Needed

We are currently looking for DSPs to work with adults with IDD in the greater Boston area.


Brookline

4.5 hours of community support per week for a 37 year old woman with mild MR. She is very independent but needs assistance with reading. She prefers afternoons, any day of the week.


South End

2.5 hours of community support per week for a 40 year old woman with IDD. She is flexible on when she goes out into the community.


Dorchester

2.25 hours of community support per week for a 46 year old male. He is very friendly, polite, and independent. He seeks assistance with getting to medical appointments and filling out paperwork such as a job applications or renewing benefits.


Quincy

2 hours of community support for a 50 year old woman with Cerebral Palsy. She utilizes a walker as well as a wheelchair and requires physical assistance to enjoy community activities. She can be difficult to understand at times but is very friendly and open.

As a Direct Support Professional (Caregiver), you'll carry out rewarding work, playing an integral and crucial role in the success of our organization. Based in community settings, DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.


DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
