Job Overview:

The Compliance Analyst – SDLC/Change Management Specialist is responsible for tracking compliance with both Macy’s Tech and Macy’s Inc. policies and procedures, partnering with various process owners to create and deliver regular compliance reporting, functional training materials, and building and maintaining close relationships with teams across the enterprise to ensure knowledge-sharing and alignment. Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans and ensure other IT Service Management (“ITSM”) process interfaces to change management are working effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the remediation of the Software Development Life Cycle (“SDLC” program)
• Perform gap assessments against SDLC
• Ensure SDLC is in compliance with internal guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”). Map the relationship of internal guidelines and regulations to the SDLC. Collaborate with the current development contributors to the SDLC process
• Periodically review the process strategies for change management to ensure consistency and compliance with internal and regulatory standards
• Ensure appropriate process, policies, standards and metrics are deployed throughout the process. Provide direction, monitor and enforce/test to ensure established process and policies in support of enterprise consistency. Help drive continuous improvement of process, policies, and procedures across the enterprise
• Function as a subject matter expert (“SME”) and act as an advisor to business and technology personnel on matters involving software development and change management processes
• Perform periodic audits to ensure that quality testing is occurring and proper back-out plans exist for all changes in accordance with change management guidelines. Ensure that agreed testing strategy and policy is applied to all changes
• Ensure the Change Advisory Board (“CAB”) is run effectively and efficiently and has appropriate levels of engagement with all stakeholders, both internal and external
• Manage the post implementation review process ensuring changes have met their objectives and provide feedback on corrective or preventive actions as needed. Support project teams in integrating change management activates into their project plans and ensure other IT Service Management (“ITSM”) process interfaces to change management are working effectively.
• Consistently demonstrates regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Decision Making:

• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional business stakeholders, including Security and Internal/External Audit.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS, and 3-4 years relevant work experience specific to SDLC/Change Management.

Communication Skills:

• Clear and effective communication skills to senior leadership and business stakeholders (written, oral and listening).

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and analytical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

• Analyzes each situation and makes sound decision for technical and business challenges that can be difficult in complexity.
• Analyzes problems and challenge by looking below the surface to understand root cause.

Other Skills:

• Critical strategic thinking capabilities, viewed as a subject matter expert (“SME”)
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Familiarity with retail industry, ecommerce, IT, and software development concepts
• Familiarity with PCI standards, application security, or risk a plus
• Acrobat, Visio, Wiki, and SharePoint proficiency
• Project management, multitasking, and time management skills
• Must be highly motivated and demonstrate ability to complete assignments effectively
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiations skills
• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
