Rocklands Marketing DirectorRocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company seeks a marketing director. This person will lead marketing for the entire company: Three store locations (DC, Arlington and Alexandria), catering and several food trucks. Candidates should be organized; happy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment; self-starting; excellent at multi-tasking; and have a good sense of humor. Candidates must be fluent in English, outgoing and enthusiastic about interacting with customers and staff. Spanish language useful. This position is a salaried position with a 45-hour week, and a home base in Alexandria, VA. While you will spend time behind a desk, this is a hands-on role; we expect the marketing team to be out in the restaurants and at community events. Weekend and evening activities will be required with some frequency.Responsibilities include:? Develop overall strategy for Rocklands marketing efforts, including all elements of marketing (product, price, place, promotion and people) and the annual marketing plan? Direct and execute on Rocklands' communication platforms (currently Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Yelp, as well as an e-news list and a website)o Daily monitoring and engagement with platformso Development of new content and campaignso Creation of monthly marketing calendar of events and digital communicationso Coordinate social media channels with in-store and catering activities? Support in-restaurant, catering and event marketingo Design and produce seasonal and special signage, menus and materialso Assist locations with community events, including staffing high-priority eventso Support catering marketing strategy and ensure it aligns with overall company effortso Support truck program, both regular and special-event activities? Support design and production of external marketing materialso Manage Rocklands' local-paper and limited online advertising programo Manage updates to Rocklands menus and production of seasonal menus? Evaluate and make recommendations on new opportunities o Review in-bound promotional offers for possibilities, fito Research new digital marketing options and test possibilities within Rocklands (eg, new online marketing tools)? Lead and support other marketing efforts within the companyo Train staff on social mediaSkills: Strong writing skills a must. Proficiency in Word, WordPress and design program (Canva, InDesign, or Adobe); proficiency in Hootsuite or other social-media management platform; familiarity with Facebook and Twitter for business.
