PrideStaff is looking for a inventory control expert for a new distribution center located in Denver. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
The inventory control expert is responsible for coordinating all purchasing and inventory activities associated with manufacturing or current and non-current production parts and facilities on-time deliveries in accordance with the production schedule. This person maintains minimal inventory on items. Lead times for upfront purchases for discount items needs to be reviewed.
Key duties:
Purchase and receive all parts and place purchase orders
Utilize RPM to monitor CVO, service parts, current/non-current inventory levels, purchase parts to replenish deteriorated stock quantities and determine purchase volumes based on production and cash flow.
Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Complete weekly inventory progress report of usage and stock
Maintain records of orders and inventory and follows up with vendors on shipments and delivery
Job Requirements:
Background in the distribution industry for 2-3 years
Some experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions is needed
Prefer bachelors degree, but not necessary
Strong analytical skills
Requires strong verbal communication, organization and time management skills
Able to handle a multi-task environment
