POSITION PURPOSE -

Division Manager Finance provides total financial leadership, direction and analysis to the divisional and regional leadership teams. The Division Manager Finance plays a key role in driving division and region performance, controlling costs, and works closely with the Division Finance leader in order to achieve business goals and create shareholder value.

This role is the Regional Finance Leader supporting the regions in the Southeast including key markets such as: Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES –

  • Division/Regional Leadership: Provide perspective on regional strategic initiatives / special projects; identify performance gaps / improvement opportunities across regions
  • Ad hoc Analytics / Initiatives: Conduct root cause analytics on under performance (sales and expenses); drive executive reporting and analytics, market analysis, and sales trends with a focus on deaveraging
  • Financial Management: Day to day “blocking and tackling” including questions from field partners; oversight for regional capital and G&A management
  • Financial Reviews: Development and reporting of a reoccurring business review for each region; review sales and expenses on a regular basis with an expectation that actions / solutions are provided to drive profitability
  • Planning / Forecasting: Build store level sales, payroll, markdown, margin, inventory and expense plan; forecast sales and transactions for respective regions
  • Training / Development: Ensure professional development by seeking new out relevant training and development

NATURE AND SCOPE -

  • Typically reports to Division Finance Leader
  • Supports Divisional and Regional leadership teams
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must pass a Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass the pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Knowledge of THD systems, specifically SAP; Khalix (expense and sales); Pro Clarity; Business Warehouse (BW); Analytics Cube; Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • MBA preferred
  • Detail Field Experience a Plus
  • Accounting Experience a Plus
