Job Overview:

The Analyst, Compensation will provide analytic support to the Compensation team and business groups to align compensation programs with business group objectives. Analyst will work with the Compensation team and the respective business partners and will support one or more of the following compensation programs: salary structures, program analysis, and merit pay.

Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based out of Springdale, Ohio.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of compensation programs to support business needs, including salary structure analysis, salary changes, job evaluation/ analysis and strong communication with assigned business partners.
• Assess, recap, and audit current business group compensation programs through standard and ad hoc reporting to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
• Act as a liaison to assigned business group to answer questions, provide relevant information regarding compensation programs, and evaluate relevant compensation programs as requested by business partners.
• Assist in the execution of the annual merit cycle.
• Perform periodic reviews on salary structures. Provide analysis to the COE in order for them to make strategic changes to salary structures.
• Research and resolve individual and group wide compensation issues
• Maintain and update database tables and employee records to support compensation plans.
• Provide support to other areas when needed and perform other duties as assigned
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field required.
• 1-3 year(s) previous human resources, financial, compensation or related experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to suit various audiences.

Mathematical Skills:

• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability:

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to work with confidential data and manage multiple projects.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
• May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of Oracle HCM, MarketPay, Microsoft Access and VBA preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
